"Daniyal Akhmetov, head of the East Kazakhstan region, has ordered to provide state grants first of all to 5 single industry towns. 63.5 mln tenge are planned for performance of new business ideas. 1078 people will be covered with micro-credits in villages and smaller towns," reads the message.
611 potential borrowers have filed applications to over 2.1 bn tenge. Tarbagatai district takes the lead in the funding disbursement- approximately 705 mln tenge. Meanwhile, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey and 3 districts of the East Kazakhstan region have shown low results.
D. Akhmetov has ordered to form a commission and draw up a clear complex of works.
