Air Astana pilot detained under drug intoxication at Almaty airport

Astana. April 26. KazTAG – An Air Astana pilot has been detained in drugs intoxication at Almaty airport.
“On April 23, an airline pilot was detained at Almaty airport, flying as a passenger, in a state of drug intoxication,” the KazTAG editors responded to the Air Astana press service.
The police are conducting a pre-trial investigation. It is noted that the pilot has been suspended from work.
The press service refrained from answering the editor's questions about when the pilot was on his last flight and whether he had drugs on him at the time of his arrest.
The KazTAG editors are also awaiting a response from the press service of the transport police department.
In fact, an Air Astana pilot who failed an alcohol test in Amsterdam was fired from his job in 2017.
