Astana. April 30. KazTAG – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev described the flood as “the most significant disaster in terms of scale and consequences in the last eight decades.” As part of his speech, he called on business representatives to actively participate in eliminating the consequences of the disaster, Toppress reports.
The reaction of business was not long in coming. As of the end of April 2024, large businesses provided more than T160 billion in assistance to eliminate the consequences of floods. Among them, businessman and philanthropist Mukhamed Izbastin, who allocated T450 million.
