Satkaliyev addressed to drivers: We are not covering gas shortage and the problem will not be solved in the near future

Astana. November 8. KazTAG - Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev predicts a significant gas deficit in Kazakhstan.
“There will be a significant deficit that will not be covered. Now we are forced to say how the ministry takes responsibility and is absolutely open to society, consumers, and motorists to say that the state is already experiencing serious problems with this type of fuel, and this problem will not be resolved in the short term,” Satkaliyev said on the sidelines of the Majilis.
To the question “What to do with the dissatisfaction of Kazakhstanis?” he replied: “Explain.”
“There are government support measures, we are talking about the economics of enterprises, the government has the opportunity to apply measures to support socially vulnerable groups. The government has support tools through subsidies for one type of production or another; I think the government will take a balanced approach to certain measures. I am now only talking about the initiative of the Ministry of Energy, which will be discussed. (...) In general, we look at the volume of fuel, it increased by 25% within nine months, that is, consumption increased by about 225-250 thousand tons per month during this time,” Satkaliyev added.
