"The representatives of the emergency situations agency conducted an analysis of dangerouse places for swimming. 58 such places have been identified. Officially two beaches have been equipped in Atyrau, however, many people ignore the safety rules and swim in the wrong places. This year 4 people have drowned, two of them are children," said Askar Aitekenov, deputy head of Western region of airmobile operational-rescue department.
He said the rest zones located in the suburbs of Atyrau call concern.
"There are 4 of them, and none of them have appropriate places for swimming. The number of tragic places in water may increase with the beginning of the swimming season," he said.
Last year 21 people drowned, including 9 children.
